they haven't changed any of their release cycles for the last decade. Almost every one of their products gets updated once a year.

They are a technology company, they move with the times. Apple are well known for being the first to use some technologies/popularise them, thats just what they do. Like any company they have to keep up with emerging technologies. If they can make a product better, why not? As a company they get more money and the users get better technology. Simple.

The only reason it seams like that is because Apple's release cycle is predictable and highly publicized. It really doesn't move any faster than any other tech company.

It appears that way, for some time now most companies are releases new products each year. For awhile someone could hang on to their phone for a lot longer without noticing such a big difference, still up to the user if and when they wish to upgrade.

The speed of electronic products is fast, though sometimes we don't like, because we should keep changing our digital device like ipad, ipod znd so on. While, in fact, this trend has more good aspects than bad.
