How much longer will pokemon be around? Why or why not and what is your source. |
|
I believe that it will be around for a long time. This is due to the large amount of fanbase and if there is still a large amount of fans, they will still produce the shows. If a company can make a profit of something, they will mostly do it. I was reading up a while ago and they been said to be the Mickey Mouse of Japan (and how long that has been going on). Also, I have been watching it since the start and have official VHS of the original 10 episodes in a special collector carrying case, not to also mention the local syndication of Pokemon I recorded a long time ago. |
|
I say it will be around as long as there are people who enjoy it and my source is myself because of my inference on the subject matter. |

I hope for many more years.. I personally love pokemon.. |

As long as Nintendo can continue keeping Pokemon reasonably relatively updated & "fresh", It’s audience will still devour each Pokemon iteration. Look how long Mario has existed... |
|
As long as Nintendo and Gamefreak are making money, they will continue to make Pokemon. Look at Nintendo's other games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Starfox. Some of those games have been around longer than a lot of gamers today, and they're still being made. (Though, I'm still waiting for a Starfox on the Wii...) |

As long as they can come up with names, no matter how ridiculous they might get. I mean really, Bidoof? |

The amount of fans of Pokemon has surpass that of Dragon Ball, they keep buying their games and series. The Pokemon games, no matter how much Pokemon they keep adding they are the top sellers in handhelds consoles, surpassing other games for the DS and PSP alike for millions of copies. Although Pokemon lost it's touch after Johto people still watch it. Other anime series takes months, years to get licensed in the US/other countries and translated after their release, Pokemon gets translated after they get release in Japan. In Cartoon Network they are like 10 - 15 eps behind from Japan has any other series been translated like that? Of course not. The closest thing was Inuyasha's Final eps that where put on Hulu, and didn't get translated, just subbed. So for your question will be around a long time. |
