I am looking for a better remote desktop utility.

I have used Window's own for some time but it has it's down sides.

So I run 7 all over the computers I have, So I want to be able to run it so the user can use the PC while I remote to them.

I'm not using LogMeIn or TeamViewer as I only use them if I have to.

So what?

Thanks. Jack,

Why not team viewer?

Have a look into tightvnc.

I use it to control computers around my house, and it works fine :P

You know that TeamViewer can be used for local use as well. It just works over the Local Network and never goes out to the internet. I use it on one of my computers so that I can connect to it from inside and outside of my house since it doesn't have a monitor connected to it.

Otherwise, you could use Remote Assist inside of Windows but that tends to be a lot of works setting up just to get connected where by the time you have it you could have just walked to the computer.

Another way is using a VNC client. I have never found a reason to use it but there are people that do. Some of the clients include: TightVNC, UltraVNC, RealVNC. And so on, I would look into them if that is the way you want to go.

Then you need to look into the VNC clients.
