I recently purchased Microsoft Office for my Mac and I want to open two documents at the same time, but I'm not sure how to.

If it's anything like the office version for Windows, you can open both documents and then choose to view the two documents side by side. This option will be under the "View" option on the main menu.

"File>Open" if it's already existing or "File>New" if you want a new document.
