Integrate browse form with ftp server?

I have a Filezilla ftp server I'd like to be able to access from other places, than just my network. I want to be able to access it via web. I know Firefox has an addon FireFTP which can do this, but I don't want this. I'd like a browse button that accesses Windows explorer, I could use to drag files in and out of my server. Is this possible? If so, could you please provide the necessary steps I need to do, like the code and whatnot. I don't have an actual website, just a ftp server I run off of my computer. I like it better than Dropbox, or whatever cause it's wayyy more space, and I'm a cheap bastard.

Why go through the browser? This is essentially just a remote desktop connection, isn't it?

I would technical disagree with you. on this part Web browsers can do it without a doubt. But if your planning to upload or download a lot of files between the computer that your using and the server itself Web brwoser will not cut it that well. Since a program like filezilla or similar programs can work both ways and can work on multiple files at the same time very quickly. I've ran a web server and ftp on the same server uploading and downloading many files locally via ftp and took me half the time than going through a web browser. Plus you can do both upload and down faster via ftp application than with web browser since. I have found with a web browser it will terminate the connection after a certain point. While ftp doesn't until the last file being uploaded or download is done. Plus with RDP your just seeing the desktop connection of the remote computer. Where you do not always need to see all the time. I have done this as well at the same time when working with file transfer locally through my home network.
