Signal Bars on Android

I was wondering why on earth do they still use signal bars and how I can change that. I am tired of seeing signal bars like to old days. I just want something like 3G on or something like that. What can I do? alt text

Bars are still used, though it is now mostly broadcast engineers that usually need it now. To a broadcast engineer, the bars will tell them they can get this far at this environmental settings at this amplitude (or something like that)

0	Deal with it? I don't know what you mean by "the old days" as signal bars are still used, and still important. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't want to see your signal strength. answered Mar 17 '11 at 20:28 Justin 8.4k●104●143●222
