My laptop's keyboard seems to be doing keyboard shortcuts with all of the keys instead of imputing text. Example: When I tap M it does the keyboard shortcut for Minimize. I can not stop it from doing this. And this is not sticky keys. Also it only will type things in the Search area in the start menu. Also when I double click to open something it bring up what would appearer if I was right clicking. But it works fine if I use my track-pad. But the keyboard is still having problems. I don't know how this started happening, and I don't know why it is doing this, I have already looked through the settings to make sure some crazy setting did not randomly come on. How would I fix this? I have Windows 7. |
Problem solved. I just had to reboot. I was running a virus scan before this happened (which I need to do more.) and I did not want to restart until it was done. Sorry! Though I wonder why this was happening anyway, and how I can fix it in case it happens again, and rebooting does not fix it.
