Is there such thing as a Skype alternative that signs into my account, but doesn't use the program Skype. Like how AIM can sign into Google accounts and Facebook. Skype runs very slow on my computer, and I didn't know if there existed an alternative. I'm looking for programs, not web apps like IMO.im

I really don't think that there are any alternatives to Skype that don't use the Skype software. If you have a iPod Touch 4th gen or iPhone 4, you could use the Skype app and video chat that app runs well on both devices.
