So this morning I opened up Chrome on my Mac and it suddenly changed the icon. I looked at the Chrome information and it must have updated to the 11 beta. What do you think of the change?

I liked the old logo better. This one is just 'too' simplistic. People say 'less is more', but this is simply too 'less' |
The old logo is so much better. The new one looks too simple compared to the other web browser logos. |
It reminds me of the Aperture Science logo... I don't quite know why thought... |
Don't care. I spend about .5 seconds a day staring at it. Not that big of a deal. |
Love it. For logo's : the simpeler the better in my opinion. |
I don't pay too much attention to the icons. I just use them to start up a program. But, I liked the old Google Chrome icon better. The new one is just too simple and boring. It looks like something I could have done. |
I'm not a fan of it because it's not dynamic. As a videographer, I need to create dynamic titles that pop out from the background. This logo is just way too flat. |
I like the old one better. I hope they bring back the old one this one looks like a 3 year old made it with a few crayons. |

I don't like it but I think it makes an interesting statement given that chrome has become one of the most used browsers and is currently one of, if not the best web browser. You could, infact over-analyse this as google quietly saying that 'we have the best browser, we don't need to shout about it' as on the other hand, the old icon was designed to make people think 'ooh, this looks cool, i'll give it a try' because it was going up against the likes of Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer that have flashy icons. (especially FireFox) The new icon also reflects the companies image as a whole. I'm almost certain that i'm not the only person who looks at an application (especially when looking through an app store) and makes assumptions about it based on the launcher icon. It's like a person. You base you're judgements on what they look like, before you interact with them and as we know. Looks are not everything. |

It looks crap!
