OK before i start I'd like to say that my problem is really odd. I'm not exactly sure why i done it but i put the command prompt as default program for files with the .py extension. It originally ran with python but now I'm unable to change it back. This problem is really confusing and if someone could show incite I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks :)

I'm going to use a word document as an example:

  1. Browse to the file alt text
  2. Right Click on the file and chose "Open with" alt text
  3. Then click "Choose Default Program"
  4. Make sure that the box is check like below and find the program you want to use to open the file alt text
