For most of my life, I've been exclusively a Windows person. I love building my own desktops (which will NEVER change), and have relied on Windows-based laptops all my life. Recently, however, I've decided that while I prefer a high-end Windows gaming desktop, my laptop needs are best met by the high-end 15" Macbook Pro. Sweet battery life, lighter than my current 15-inch, and decent Boot Camp gaming capabilities. I'd also like the option of running OSX for software development without owning a third PC. I'm going to buy this later in the year with student loan funds, and I was wondering if any of you had some tips, tricks, or sweet apps to try out since this will be the first Mac I've ever owned, as well as my secondary computer/main laptop. Thanks in advance.

I'll let you know right now that gaming on Boot Camp will be considerably slower.

Driver problems for Windows?

@chadt4: Why will it be slow? I think you are confusing Boot Camp with a virtual machine. Running Windows in Boot Camp is running Windows natively, it will be just as fast as it would be of a Windows computer with similar specs.

Yeah it won't be any slower, but the specs of the laptop will slow it down a lot
