"I have a MBP and iMac already for bigger things."

Why don't you just buy a copy of Windows, and install it on a partition of your harddrive via Boot Camp? It would be considerably cheaper...

I was thinking of that but I want speed and great performance. Will I still get that with boot camp? I had boot camp with Vista on a Macbook but it was to weak, maybe on the new iMac it'll perform better?

I have Windows 7 on my baseline 27'' iMac, and it works beautifully.

What are the specs of your Macbook? I can't see any reason why it would be slow.

I would suggest giving Windows 7 a try, and see how it works out...

I'm planning to use it for small things like surf the web, listen to music and social networking.

I think a netbook like the Dell Inspirion 1012 which is for all those above in the price about half of that of the laptop you are planning to purchase.

Also like @Justin said, you can just use Boot Camp for a Windows platform.

I might do the boot camp and the reason why I don't go with netbooks is because I need i3 or above along with 4gbs of ram.

So then what do you intend to do that requires a fast PC?

Nice specs, nice price too.

But the main question is what are you gonna use it for, and what is your current budget for a laptop?

I'm planning to use it for small things like surf the web, listen to music and social networking. I think it'll do. I also need a PC for Windows software. I have a MBP and iMac already for bigger things.

I think that it i a reasonable price and that you should go for it considering the information you gave me. Toshiba also has good support and make decent computers. :D
