,i want a dual monitor setup for my macbook but dont know anything about monitors and all the factors,im mainly going to use it for video, photo editing and some gaming,so a monitor with good resolution would be good i guess, and ofc i need it to be good for all the other stuff like movies and such and it cant be to expensive around 300 or less.a monitor thats compatible with a HDMI or a monitor that can connect to a xbox would be great.

If you want to connect it to your Macbook you will need a adapter. I use a LG Flatron E2350 it has HDMI, VGA and DVI and is also super thin it is 23". Go to the store and find something that will fit good and you like.

I love multiple monitor configurations. I once saw a PC in a tech store that was set up with three monitors with a race car game going. I have a desktop machine that has one of those fancy cards with two ports where one port is to drive the top of the monitor and the other port is for the bottom of the monitor. I have never used it in that configuration, it's just awesome to know it does it.
I have also done multiple monitors where I would run virtualization software and have one OS on one monitor and another OS on the other monitor.
