Hi, in a couple days I am reinstalling windows 7 and I want a free (legally) screen recorder. That allows me to zoom in and out while recording and has decent quality. If it has a recording windows that's big I want to be able to be minimize it without issues. That's why I hate camstudio because it isn't very good on win7. |

After I lost interest with CamStudio I replaced it with BB Flashback Express 2 Recorder, which is also a free program. I have found that the captured screen video at a resolution of 1920 x 1200 is much clearer and the video places back noticeably smoother than CamStudio. BB FlashBack Express 2 Recorder can be found at: http://www.bbsoftware.co.uk/bbflashback/compareeditions.aspx By the way, there are three versions: express, standard, and pro. The express version is the free version. For my purposes BB FlashBack Express 2 Recorder is the most superior and free alternative to CamStudio, depending upon what your additional needs are, two other ones worth mentioning are: [2] Wink, which is a Tutorial and Presentation creation software, primarily aimed at creating tutorials on how to use software (like a tutor for MS-Word/Excel etc). Using Wink you can capture screenshots, add explanations boxes, buttons, titles etc and generate a highly effective tutorial for your users. |

Check this out. There is a free one that you can record for up to ten minutes. I use it. There is a paid version if you want more than ten minutes. Microsoft Expression Encoder: http://www.microsoft.com/expression/products/Encoder4_Overview.aspx |
