I learned HTML by using the w3schools website. It provides helpful tutorials, and a place to test your code, as well as various activities and quizzes. It's very helpful. Enjoy!

Like MJ94 mentioned, w3schools is a very good place to begin. I found it helpful to set myself a goal to reach or to think of a website that I wanted to design. So for example, "I want to design a blogging site" and, while doing, so I would encounter problems and things that I would need to learn and things would become more familiar over time.
