I don't have much knowledge in the website industry, but I am looking to start a website with my friend where I will post video content, information and updates, and a forum. It is a motion graphics and photography website, and I was wondering how much space will be needed for the needs. Bearing in mind we are looking at weekly video uploads of around half an hour per video. Thank you.

It might be easier to post your videos on YouTube then embed them into your site using the embed code. This way you can avoid have it deal with large bandwidth requirements from hosting video. YouTube recently removed the time limit.

It depends on the resolution of the videos. If they are 720 P they will require more. I suggest having a large storage space (50+ GB to start off) if you wish to have 30 min videos. Also, keep in mind that the more videos you post the more storage you need. If you will be doing a once a week show then make your first video and then multiply that file size by 52 to know how about much you will need to have them for a year, then add a bit to that say a GB or two to be safe.

Thank you, and to clarify, there is no limit on YouTube?

YouTube recently let go of the limit. However I think it is something like if you have any copyright infringements on your channel then you don't have it for more details you can see this question about it.
