If Microsoft were to make their next OS Apple like, would you buy it?

One example: Moving files that you have open without having to close the program,

I think a better idea would be to have operating systems that were compatible with each other so software companies could build common platforms for all. Then the user could their preferred OS with the ability to run whatever they want. Production software, games, etc.

As unlikely as that future is, I share your dream.

You always hear about games better on PC than Mac, or "Hey I have a question about Office for Mac". I would truly like to see games that are compatible on all OS's, straight Office questions for any OS. I know it would make life on developers a whole lot easier because they would develop a product that could run on the users preferred OS. Just makes sense. Definite reduction in overhead and reduction in waste when a product goes out of date.

No. I like Windows the way it is. What I would like to see are more optimizations, a fix for the bloody control panel, and a touch-friendly version.

Windows is touch friendly? I can't see how it could be more so?

I can move files without closing a program in Windows XP & in Windows 7.

Files associated with a program I have open can be moved while the program is running, I’ve done it.

Ok remember when Apple made fun of Vista because they thought they copied? DLL hell and all that? Just search for it on YT and you'll find it. I don't think you windows users want that again, am I right?
