Sims 3 Launcher problems?

mine will not even start up, does anyone know how to fix this, i bought ambitions expansion pack and it just stopped working.

They are trying to use a shortcut to an outdated launcher.exe. Make sure you are using the updated version from ambitions. You can find it at the following: C:Program FilesElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3 AmbitionsGameBinsims3launcher.exe

Make sure you are using that specific one.

Make sure you have the latest EADM ( electronic arts download manager ). The launcher requires that program to run. You can find links to it on the EA help page at the right top corner of the sims 3 homepage.
Delete the 4 .cache files found in the documentssims 3 folder. They get corrupted quite easily and can mess up the game and the launcher
Outdated custom content can prevent the launcher from working. Make sure all of your cc is updated for ambitions.

Try removing the cc and then try running the launcher.
