I dropped my ipod touch in a bucket of water, it was on and started acting up. I put it into a bag of rice for a week. after letting it sit for a week I took it out and connected ti to my computer, it was dead so I let it charge. I have been able to sync it to iTunes (windows), it won't let me restore it to a backup point but it lets me setup a 'new configuation'. Once I have done that, whenever it turns on it is good for about 5 seconds then it freezes up, I then have to do a herd reset. Once it comes back on again I go thru the same freez up!!!!!!! is there anything I can do?????? |

I don't think you can do anything to fix it other than buy a new one. |

I had that issue with an iPod nano and I put in rice for a week and it still wouldn't let me restore it initially. I had to try and fail to restore it a few times before it would actually restore and even after that the backlight screen still didn't work. |

Take it to apple to fix, but if its been wet your warranty is voided. |

There is a way to get it fixed for free and I don't mind telling it to you, but the mods would kill me for using illegal methods. Legitly, you could get it fixed for a price at any Apple store. But I would NOT recommend doing that as they would charge you almost as much as the price you got the iPod for. This goes for just about any other portable media device, including PSPs, from what I've experienced. Might as well get a spankingly brand new one. :( |
