I think that this is very interesting. If this actually gets released, I would definitely buy one. It would be so much easier to carrier around this, and maybe a few sheets of paper and a pen (Hand in assignments and what not), than carrying around four binders + all my text books in school. And it's only $100, which, I think, is a very reasonable price.
So, do any of you think you would have some sort of use for this device? Or would you rather a full out tablet (iPad, Motorola Xoom, etc)?

I would pay that much. I tend to sketch out a lot of my ideas. And I use a lot of paper in the process and I have folders filled with them. I would especially get it if I can transfer the sketches to my computer. This would be helpful in school too. Though I would probably get the NoteSlate Color. (If that is a different model, I am not sure.)

I would buy this. I think it's very interesting and I like the idea of being able to write or sketch something out when it's fresh in my mind and then saving it for later. I tend to loose(misplace)things.

I'd never pay $99 bucks for some oddball tablet running who knows what OS for the purpose of taking notes. If I ever get enough money to afford a tablet, it'll probably be an inexpensive off-brand linux tablet running ubuntu or pclinuxos. Also, I have a perfect note taking app on my $15 dollar dumbphone.

It looks very similar to the boogie board, but I'm not going to pay $99 for it. Even though I am a geek I still like to write things down...on paper. And I can always put notes into my cell phone or MacBook. So, no I wouldn't buy this unless the price comes down.
Update: I just realized it did a little more than I thought it did and is more complicated than the boogie board, but I'm still not tempted to buy it when I can take notes on everything else I have.

It looks cool. But I wouldn't buy it unless the price is low. I think these "E-Readers" are hilarious. There is no point in them, a pc, a laptop, and a smartphone all serve as an E-reader. So why waste the money?
