Hi, i am going to build my own computer for gaming and i'm wondering do i need a special windows 7 for the first time our just buy windows 7 home premium in a computer store. i'm am planing to install windows 7 home premium, 64 bit version. hope you can help thanks. You can just buy any Win7 from a computer store and install it on your pc without worries. Just as long as you have a dvd drive in your computer and a Win7 disc you're good. |

You can go ahead and buy a copy in the store... Just make sure you get the Full version and not the Upgrade! |

You can buy the FULL Version, or grab the OEM version from tigerdirect, newegg, zipzoomfly, among others. The OEM version is cheaper, though it doesn't come with a pretty box, it is basically the same version as the Retail copy. Just be aware that the Retail comes with 32bit and 64bit in the box, and the OEM is either or, but not both. |
