Should bother to learn Powershell commands?

I'm planing to update my Xp boot with Win7 and I've heard about many new features, one being Powershell an all new Command prompt; so what so good about Powershell is it worth learning the commands for it? or should I stay with good old cmd?

command prompt cmd ps powershell power shell windows xp
