I'd like to have someone I know write for my Wordpress site, but I don't want them to have to ability to mess with anything, I just want them to have the ability to post. Is this possible? |

Yes. Log in to your Dashboard, scroll to thw bottom, and click Users in the lefthand module. This will allow you to enter a Wordpress user's email address and choose their title (contributor, administrator, editor, or author). I don't know if there's a limit to how many other users you can add, but it does let you add several. If the person you want to add doesn't already have a WP account or blog, they'll have to sign up for one before you'll be able to add them to your blog. New users can sign up for their own blog(s) or just a username. Good luck!

They do. See http://codex.wordpress.org/User_Levels and http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities on more info. Also, the role for users can be set from the Settings General SubPanel. |
