I'm getting tired of people's rude comments on here. I think that Lockergnome needs a bit more Moderating. Agree? What do you think? |

I honestly haven't seen many rude comments and when they do appear they are usually removed very quickly, as for the site needing moderators I don't think thats true as this site is moderated by it's community. Quote from http://lockergnome.net/faq/ "Who moderates this community? The short answer is: you. This content of this website is moderated by the users. The system allows users to earn rights to perform a variety of moderation tasks. Member moderation is dealt with by the administrators and actual moderators of this site" Thank You! You are right. But it seems that everytime I try to "moderate" I get my fricken Karma reduced and crap. I'm just getting tired of this place all in all! You were not moderating when you lost karma. You lost Karma because you did something that can be reported. Oh really? What were you "moderating" when you posted saying "Windows Vista Sucks"???? I wasn't moderating on that one. That is the one you lost the karma on. Look at your karma record http://lockergnome.net/users/4918/jameel-alayyan/reputation/

There are rude comments from you as well. When you ask questions that have a common knowledge answer then you are going to get some bad comments. Also, you need to calm down a bit, another moderator or two will not hit but I really don't think that they will solve the problem. Such as:
How the heck did you reduce my Karma... and how did you close my question? You are not a moderator. So how? 1
He is an editor like me, have a look at the FAQ http://lockergnome.net/faq/ @Jameel Alayyan: I have the ability to close questions with my Karma rating as well as I can report questions and answers and when they are reported the person being reported losses 5 karma. I can also down vote and then the person I down vote and myself loose 5 karma. Also, it was not a question. & how the Hell (excuse my language but I am getting angry) am I supposed to get all that "Karma"? 2
Be helpful in the community... Right now you are wasting the communities time. |

Probably because of the Facebook question he asked. |
|
Funny, I remember when the site first launched everyone with enough karma did the self-moderating thing and everyone got all upset over it. You can please some of the people all of the time, and you can please all of the people some of the time; but you can't please all of the people all of the time. |

While someone is sent to a timeout, I have something to say. Lockergnome.net has good moderators watching the site. Usually, we are usually bombarded with spam accounts posting spam (like 2-5 accounts a day). While we cannot see every post and every comment being made all the time, we do look at a lot and suspect of irregularities and things whether there is a problem or not. We do base the amount of screening by the karma and things they post. In this case, Chris and I are suspecting of acting very questionably (like a child, or even acting somewhat trollish). We have decided to put that user in time out for the time being. Whether the user will act more professionally, we will see. |

Please provide some evidence to prove your accusation. I have not seen anything on FaceBook or the site. Not on Facebook but on his/her question about Facebook. Ah right. Was this the guy who asked about the friends who where leaving him? If so I still don't get why he has not worked it out yet xD @Jack: Ya, it was them that asked the question. LoL... I hope one day he reflects on what he has done... Ya, well now he has 14 days to think about it. LoL Bed time anyway :P 4am! I have a good joke to that time. May be a little inappropriate with the language. Starts with the first letter in four. Also, Chris and I decided to give that amount due to the circumstances

I don't see any rude comments.
Oh yeah, that was his question! insert rude comment here
Please read all of the FAQ @Jameel (Just a suggestion, nothing to do with this post. I you seem to ask a lot of questions that are answered on it.)
You are calling comments that don't say I agree 100% your right on the money rude? They are just not agreeing with you. Like on should I install windows XP or whatever you said to install Ubuntu and I told you to look at the askers other comment mentioning that Ubuntu ran oddly on his laptop. That is not rude!
