Does anyone use Empire Avenue?

I've seen Chris Pirillo Tweet about Empire Avenue a lot lately, and I have a few questions. What exactly is Empire Avenue? It looks to me like it's a game in which you buy shares of social people. I was going to sign up, but I'm not sure what index I'd be or if it really matters. Does anyone know? I'm really curious about this game, and I'd like to know what it's about.

Chris has a great video on it that will tell you everything about the game.

Go on his channel and watch it.
