No. As much as some part of me would love to see it, it would be adding insult to injury. We've killed the (deserving) guy, lets not mock his death.

they will be released but it takes a long time to take a stock photo and edit it in photoshop to such a degree.

Not if you are running photoshop on a PDP-8 :)

either that, or the government is afraid that people will take the photo and re-post it on other sites, and people will be less likely to head to the governments site, thus causing them too lose out on revenue from the banner ads.

or they want to be like the movie companies and are doing that delayed crap where they release the photo to their friends first then delaying before releasing the photo to everyone else

Don't think so, the world will be spammed if that happens.

If it gets everyone to shut up. Then sure release the photos it doesn't really matter.

It's not going to be released but I'm betting it's gonna get leaked in the future.

They will be released at some point or as mentioned above they could be leaked. As much as people are wanting to see them, we need to look at the other perspective. There could be things (items, people, etc.) in the pictures that would need to be edited out for national security reasons or simply to comply with natioanl rules on public photos. Once edited, they could be released. Then again, once edited there may be nothiing left worth viewing.

I'd much rather see a video than a picture, harder to fake a video. Not saying his death is fake or anything, but it gives more solid evidence.
