buy? why would you buy something that can be achieved using free and establish secure methods. OpenVPn comes to mind. If you understand what a VPN really does., its more than just installing software (the client side). You need something to connect to (another client, or server). I have used very costly solutions by Nortel (now defunct), Cisco, microsoft, etc. How found that free solutions worked just as well. The only drawback is from a support standpoint, if you need step-by-step setup and configuration help, often a paid solutions is a bit better if they offer support. Where-as the free and opensource projects you are on your own, have to deal with poorly written documentation or trial and error. if you really need a VPN? (ask your self do you,do you know how they really work)? then go for a opensource solution. best of luck with your security setup. FYI btguard is BS its for bit torrent and no one should support torrent in here... |
