LCD: Your basic "flat screen TV". Good enough for most people. LED: Pretty much the same as a normal LCD except it uses LEDs instead of fluorescent tubes. They have better colors and contrast and are usually lighter and thinner than LCDs. Plasma: Good color, really high refresh rate on more expensive ones, but use a lot of power, are heavy, and can get really hot. Long story short: If you want an HDTV, the best all-around one would probably be a LED one unless you need a GIGANTIC one. Then you would want a plasma TV. |

Well LCDs are usually the cheapest, Plasma has much better dark darks and white whites, and LEDs are usually more energy efficient while at the same time being really thin. |

LED TV's are just LCD's with different back lighting. I'd got for Plasma as far as quality for price but really the only telling is your eyes. Pick out a TV you think looks best. |
