Hi! I'm a college student - this means I'm on a budget!

I need a laptop that can run some heavy simulations (I'm majoring in Industrial Engineering) and that can do the basics (easily surf the web, write documents, spreadsheets, and make presentations) at the same time.

I have my eyes on the DELL Vostro 3500 with the new core i5 processor... is it good enough?!

and... I use Microsoft Office a lot... should I wait the 2010 version??

Please excuse my English, I'm Brazilian.

Thank you

Get 6GB of RAM and the Nvidia Geforce 310M GPU and you should be fine. The core i5 chip should be powerful enough for what I think you will need it for.
