I am currently running a website made by Weebly, and in some time, my partners and I are going to need to expand. We have a pretty stable video base, receiving over 100 views per day. But I was wondering what you may suggest to get control of a website. I am not so good at HTML, and really all I can do is copy and paste external source codes. I have seen many great sites such as TechnoBuffalo, OTN, Yours, Mashable, and I was unsure of how to get a site of such caliber.

You will have to hire a web designer and they will do all the HTML and CSS code, then they will get you some online storage and put the website live online for you.

paying a professional is the best option here.

But if you were to try to do it again, you should be able to design and code everything for the website in the adobe cs5 suite.

As for hosting and domain registration, there are many options.

One option would be to purchase a program such as dreamweaver or frontpage that helps you design a site so you could just upload the files to your host.

is there anything that does not involve downloading something or coding? we are new to code, and would have to find someone that does that.

You have to put work in to get work out.

Or pay someone.

If you want a good guy, leave your email and he will get back to you.

You will need to learn to code or pay someone if you want a website that looks really good. You could also use a Wordpress blog and run your site off of that but with that you are limited. The best way is to either learn to code and use Dreamweaver if you want it to look nice or do what I did and get Visual Stuido 2010 (I use Premium which is +$5,000 or there is a free one but I'm not sure if you can make a site.)(YOu can use if for other things besides Web Sites like making .NET apps) and you can create websites with ASP that look like this matttech.co.cc . You could use a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor and use that but even with that there are limitations and the code is not always nice.

Everyone else has pretty much laid out your options for you, but if you are only getting 100 views a day or just over that, now isn't the time to start investing big bucks into some fabulous design. Honestly, when you start out 100 views seems like alot, but I promise you it's really just a drop in the bucket. I suggest you concentrate on content, building up your traffic and then focus on a better design when you have the support and traffic to back it up.

Wordprss.com Start there, learn the foundation, and play around with it. The method of copying source codes from websites is not good for a few reasons, but the main reason is that there are a lot of external files that aren't in the source code.
