"Practically" unlimited, maybe through the invention of super large consumer hard drives that may store zetabytes of stuff and godly file compression that compresses our current files down to 1/1000 of their current file size.

Unlimited as in no limits at all, no way. This isn't Looney Tunes, my boy.

A system to quickly and automatically flawlessly compress all files, saying goodbye to BIOS, and rising platter capacity will lead to larger and larger drives but as drives get larger games, photos, movies, files, etc will get bigger as well.

I don't believe that it is scientifically possible to create a hard disk / RAM that would have true unlimited potential, but I do belive that we will discover methods for better file storage and defragmentation, it will keep our computers running like the finely tuned machine it should be.
