Within a year I shall be purchasing a new laptop. I want a laptop that handles ventilation, can multitask, good support , and something that can withhold not exactly advanced nor average but in between. I have heard ASUS is good for it has a "different" motherboard. Toshiba is suited for buisness more or less. About Mac's I have heard little flaws but they have their "ups and downs". Please help me decide. I have a average budget. Also I have a Toshiba at the moment; it's fair quality and a few years old. I feel I am "due" for a new laptop for reasons I shall not mention for there is no need.

Get an Asus, there are great deals on Amazon for them and they have high quality and good specs for the price.

I actually have an Asus laptop, one of the business models and it works fine for everything I throw at it. Of course, including running a game server and playing games at the same time.

If you want good ventilation then apple's laptops suck at that :( I have one though and only have had minor flaws. Really love it and use windows tons with bootcamp.

Before you decide between Apple, Asus, and Toshiba you need to decide between Mac OS X and Windows. If you want to run Mac OS X at all, you only have one choice. If you prefer Windows, you can probably rule out the Mac. Yes, you can run Windows on a Mac but if you won't really be using Mac OS X there's not much of a point in paying the extra money for one.

If you want to run Mac OS X you have to get a Mac.
