Who says OS X is better than Windows? I think you've been hearing far too much fan boys talking there. Which OS is better is purely someone's personal opinion.

Since the hardware is pretty much the same it really does boil down to which OS you feel more comfortable with. If you go with the Vaio you'll save yourself a good amount I'm sure. If you want elegance in a laptop (despite the Vaio being well made too) I'd recommend you go with a MacBook Pro.

Besides the looks and the OS you're going to get pretty much similar performance from both machines so the OS is going to be your biggest issue to tackle.

mac isnt better than windows. Their about the same.

a PC is more likely to have much BETTER hardware than a mac, macs just look good.

Yet you should know ATI pumps their cards full of stream processors, And expect it to be faster when it wont be anywhere faster than nvidia.

Go for a nvidia, Its my recommended gamer opinion. But its entirely up to you...

btw a 0.2 or 0.4 ghz increase wont be noticable so if its a 1.8ghz and the mac is a 2.0 ghz Their about the same exact speeds.

MacBook Pros use (mostly) the same hardware as any other computer.

Vaio if you honestly NEED to use the millions of programs that no one uses or you don't want to spend some extra money on a copy of Windows to put on the MacBook Pro. Otherwise, get the MacBook Pro if they're around the same price. (OR if the MBP is less expensive.)

Depends. Are you going to be doing hard-core stuff? If you are, get the Vaio. If not, get the MBP. Although, it really does depend on what you want to use. I would personally go for the Vaio, but that is me.
