Hey all, I have a bunch of video files in various formats and I want to convert them all to MP4 so I can just add all of them to my iTunes library. I can handle your basic AVI or WMV to MP4 but there's one format that i can't seem to figure out and that is MKV which is played in VLC player. What is the best way to get this to MP4, would it be a direct covert or would it be to make it an AVI and then MP4? Also what are some good video converters for general conversion AVI--->MP4 MP4---MP3, etc. Thanks in advance.

Dan

PS I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I highly recommend HandBrake. Converts MKV files to MP4/M4V flawlessly and with many configurable options.
