Anyone here good at math? Name the vertices of the hyperbola with equation xy=50

The vertices are going to be located on each branch where x=y (at least for this equation, i just did a 5min crash course about hyperbola on wiki so not a hyperbola expert). And since x*y=50, we need the number you can multiply by itself to get 50. Square root of 50 = 7.071067811865475. So they would be located at 7.071067811865475,7.071067811865475 and -7.071067811865475,-7.071067811865475.

Alright... I know you really want some help... I would help if I knew, but I think you would be better off asking on Yahoo! Answers or a math help site. There are a few of them out there.

I see where he's coming from though. Yahoo!Answers has categories for each question, therefore you're more than likely going to get answer off someone who is has knowledge in that specific area.

Having said that, Yahoo! Answers doesn't look too busy these days.
