Make sure your privacy settings are nice and locked down! Be sparing on what you "like" and never allow applications access to your data unless you trust it!

Personally, I would advise against signing up. It has caused me many problems, however I find that I can't live without it.

Also be sparing on who you add as a friend. It seams like a good idea to add loads of people, but the more people you have... the less useful the website seems to get.

If you are like me make sure that your privacy settings are just like you want them. Also be sure to customize and personalize you facebook profile. Also just have fun!
