Does portable hard disk able to have os which is able to portable too?

I'm going to make a portable hard disk which contain a operation system inside is it valid and does is able to function normally? Can it just insert to a pc usb port and and have a boot manager prompt out and select the os for my portable hard disk?

Please give me some solution :D

With windows, it is not easily possible and will mostly not work due to the Genuine Advantage seeing that the OS registered is to computer one while another computer with another hardware is being used

OS like linux (like ubuntu) are easily able to do what you want.

Not completely, there is a windows application that helps you make one. Although for USB, you can format a partition as one and give it persistance space.

Or you can run a live version and install one on a partition of the external drive
