Everyone is anticipating the release of USB 3.0 now. Question is: will you get it right away, or will you wait until it is supported by all devices first?

When it's in a new PC I buy I will.... but not until then.

I won't be getting it right away, I'm going to be waiting until it supports a wide range of devices that I use, it would be a lot more convenient for me than getting something that none of my hardware supports.

I think it's a really smart thing to do. USB 3.0 is a huge upgrade ;)

usb 3.0 will be standard someday so everyone has to upgrade at some point, and if not 3.0 than 4.0 or what ever comes after 3.

With technologies like light peak I am not sure because I believe light peak is faster than usb 3.0

just like the Blu Ray drives, i havent bought one yet, and will wait untill they are as very cheap, personally dont have any use for a faster USB drive, about the only thing i use on USB is a hard drive, which i'm not to bothered about transfer speeds, and my keyboard/mouse which dont need a huge bandwidth, even when i transfer video (streamed from a camera) or pictures off a camera/memory stick/chip i never felt that it was too slow, i dont think i'll be switching over, unless it's integrated in the next motherboard i buy or i'm given it free.
