As you can see by the pic, my iphone 3gs is unlocked and jailbroken but why am i only getting 91% of the charge when I only used 166 charge cycles? Is my iphone battery defective? The battery itself is 100% charged as you can tell with the icon. I don't get why I'm not getting the full 1200 |

I've never seen this app before, but, a guess is 91.67% of 1200mAh is 1100 or thereabouts, which explains why its shows only 91.67% charged? |

It's a CYDIA app for jailbroken iphones only. So why am i not getting the full 1200? Well I've just installed it on mine and it's not yet fully charged. I was at 98% on the top right of the screen. On the app it was 91%. Now I'm at 100% but it hasn't finished charging, it's at 94%. My iPhone is 16 months old and has been through 429 cycles. My max capacity is 1148, which is higher than yours. Possibly yours is a little less in size than mine, or it hasn't been treated as well. I'm not sure. See if anyone else can share some explanation into this, though I doubt it to be honest. 1148 cycles? That's insane. I thought the max cycle was 400 before the battery life starts to decrease No 429 cycles :) You mis-read. I don't plan on upgrading my battery yet. It's a delicate job, and I have bad memories of taking iPhone's apart. ohh. So should i get a new battery? I know a store that replaces iphone batteries, but right now I'm ma calibrate this iphone first. I bought it on craigslist so I don't know the past history of it Mine was second hand aswell. Yeh I recommend running it down completely and then charging it up. I do that with mine everyday usually because I use it a lot. And I'm not sure about replacing it. If you feel it runs out too fast, then get it replaced. Read some original reviews on battery time and see how they compare. alright thanks
