What do you think of iCloud?

What is everyone thinking of iCloud VS Mobile Me?

I think it will be very beneficial for some people. Plus, the best of all its features, it's free. What do you think?

1	I have all my music in Flac. structured in folders and way more then 5 gb. Everything includes album covers ofcourse.. No added value here. I don't really see the added value anyway, but I guess people have different needs. answered Jun 09 '11 at 08:45 EmbraceAllTech 281●1●4●9

It looks great. I'm even going to pay for the music storage thing. I've never bought music before so this is a great deal. Apple is doing a lot of great things, as soon as high spec gaming becomes a thing on Macs ill probably swap to apple computers completely.

iCloud has totally killed Mobile me.

I dont think there is any competition.

Steve Jobs himself said in the keynote that mobileme was not Apples 'finest hour'.

Plus all that inovation and millions of pounds apple has spent on data farms and paying the music labels and we get it for free?

I'm not sure what glue the Apple Accountants were sniffing when they authorized that... But I dont really care, its brilliant for the consumer.

Well like all apple products everyone thinks it is the greatest thing ever until something new comes out, then that great thing is so terrible. If I remember right people thought mobile me was good lol

I can agree that people originally think something is great from apple when it is announced (because it usually is) but EVERYBODY knew it was poorly executed.

The question was MobileMe vs iCloud, not do you think MobileMe was amazing until iCloud blew it out of the park?

I haven't used any of those services yet so I can't give you a good answer. On the whole cloud based music services, I currently prefer to use Google Music Beta. After using it for a day or 2, I compared some of the features to Apple's advertised iCloud service on their website. I wrote this to one of my friends on Facebook.

With iCloud you only get 5GB of free storage, with Google Music Beta we get 20,000 songs. Also, from the sounds of it, iCloud will push the music to your devices, while you pull the music from Google Music Beta. This means that its possible to be working with old versions of your library on your different devices. This also means that you will have to rely on your iPod's internal storage to play music. This is very limiting because Apple doesn't make models with bigger hard drives anymore. Another thing is that iCloud will only be available for the desktop, and the "i" devices. Google Music Beta has an app for multiple tablets and phones, but can also be accessed from any device with a web browser. This means a lot more support for different devices. So far, I think that Google Music Beta is a better platform.

Also, I dislike how iCloud is spelled wrong according to my computer's spell checker.
