Right, So i am wanting to hook my 32inch TV on the wall, but because it will be above my bed there will no where for my Xbox 360 and Apple TV, So i was thinking of putting my TV on the wall but have my Xbox 360 and Apple TV on the top of my walldrobe but the HDMI cable would need to extend a extra 13-16 feet. I am wanting to know would the signal be affected at all if i was to extent it. If any one could answer this for me i would be very grateful.

Thanks, Liam. G

this isnt an answer but I just want to post this... Do NOT overpay for a HDMI cable. Although if you expect it to get any possible foot travel pay for a thicker one (cable itself) otherwise they'll all be the same

You should be fine as long as you are under 45 feet.

01s are 01s. Digital Bits will stay as Digital Bits. It either works or it doesn't. As long as you're not going to long ( Over 50ft) you're fine. I would also recomend getting the cable at monoprice.com Extremely reasonable! Don't overpay for HDMI cords!

It will be fine in that case. If not at Monoprice they sell HDMI repeaters which are powered by the HDMI BUS and allow you to extend the HDMI signal past 100 feet

I have seen an article here which talks about how all HDMI cables are the same, hopfully this should answer your question.

Be sure that your cable is v 1.4 not 1.3. Lengths under 25 ft are sufficient. Choosing "high speed w/ethernet" should cover everything.
