I understand that you get what you pay for when you buy equipment or invest in something you are planning on using for a long time to come. i wanted to know what everyone would suggest would be good equipment to start podcasting, and no i will not be advertising my name, or what im going to talk about. that is not what im trying to do. i just want to know what i would need. and lets say i already have a dedicated PC where i hook up everything to. my budget is $500

USB Microphone/s - email Chris and he'll probably know what the best ones are and might even have a coupon. You shouldexpect to pay around $100 for an introductory good mic.

You can get Audacity for free, which is an OK audio editing software, but Garage Band might be worth investing $10 in.

Somewhere to upload your podcast to.
