Blogger is by google, yet google hasn't created a +1 gadget for blogger.... why?! Is it just laziness on google's behalf?

They do. It goes along with the sharing buttons if you have them on.

I mean a gadget, like the 'uptweet' gadget.

They Do.

From your blog dashboard, click Layout, then click edit blog post box (again from the layout screen) and put a check mark in the box with the +1 button.

that's not what I meant, I mean a gadget, like the followers box.

You said the plus one button, which is what I gave directions for. The followers widget is completely different. You should try to clarify what you're asking for next time, so you'll get the right answers.

"You said the plus one button", I disagree: "+1 gadget"

It's the same thing.

No it isn't, a gadget is something like the 'followers' gadget, or the 'follow by email' gadget. The buttons at the bottom aren't a gadget.

I've yet to see what you're talking. For the record they do have a followers gadget, a follow by email gadget and buttons. I think you're just confused.

"I've yet to see what you're talking." That makes no sense. I am saying I want a +1 GADGET in the sidebar, not a button under my posts.

It would make no sense to put a +1 "gadget" on the side bar, when that's not even it's intended use. The +1 "gadget" is just like facebooks "like" button.

Perhaps you are confused by facebooks followers gadget.
