I've been trying to find a fix for this via Google & Linux forums. Some suggested PulseAudio settings- which I tried to no avail...There doesn't seem to be a settable equalizer in any of the music players in Mint?

I have a C-Media PCI sound card running Logitech 5.1 X-530 speakers. All speakers play- just that the bass is horribly loud to the point it sounds distorted.

Can someone here lend their experience?

Cheers!
