One of my friends was at a party yesterday and brought her camera. There were a lot of kids there and one of them accidentally(?) picked up her camera and erased everything that was on the SD card before starting to take new pictures.

She new that I was good with technology and asked me if there was a way to recover the lost pictures and videos. I told her that there are programs that would do that but I didn't know which ones are the best and I would ask some other tech enthusiasts what they thought would be the best solution.

So which data recovery tools would you recommend, both paid and free?
