I recently got a pre-owned Xbox 360 (original) and there is some left-over glue on the front of the cd drive tray (the silver part) from where that had something taped on it. Any recommendations on how to remove it? |

I use Goo Gone, works great! Have it in my kitchen, takes tags off plates and household items. |

Ugh. Nightmare. I built a PC once and the case had a piece of the aluminum side that was removable. To protect the finish, the manufacturer had adhered a film to it to keep it from being scratched. Unfortunately the glue on the film was, shall we say, stubborn. I tried all sorts of stuff to get the glue off, but in the end whatever I did damaged the finish. I complained to the company that sold me the case and they sent me a replacement part without the protective film. So I guess my solution is be careful not to use anything that might damage the product you're removing tape residue from. |
