1st thing with final cut pro x, It is less like previous final cut and more like a pro version of iMovie. Previous version are like Sony vegas and Adobe Premiere. Not to also mention things that pisses video maker off (no multicam editing, no support of opening projects from previous versions, etc).

Sony Vegas Pro 10e is kind of like Adobe premiere and previous version of Final cut.
