We have charter and they gave us a crappy modem/router and we are looking for a new one with great range high speeds and one that doesn't lose connection every 2 hours. We like to stream music to our ps3 and watch movies via netflix. We do use xbox live and have a total of 10 devices 9 of them use wifi.

We also would like new usb dongles for 2 computers

Motorola SBG6580 surfboard extreme cable modem gateway. Works like a champ...I've got 4 computers, wifi printer, xbox, ps3, two wii's and two smartphones connected to it with charter's 25mg service and the only time it goes down is when barter is down. Its rated for 128mgyou max I think and has docsis 3.0 compatibility, wireless n...would suggest for anyone hardcore gamer to casual net surfer!

The best Cable modem is a DOCSIS 3 modem. Currently, as I heard from Chris, the one he uses is the Zoom DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQYNd_BL5_8

Make sure you get a Docsis 3 model. I currently use Cisco DPC3010 and have no problems, it's great.
