What do you think would be the best was to get off our dependence on Oil? I really like the idea of a hydrogen fuel cell, what do you all think? |

I think it's going to require a stepped approach to wean ourselves off fossil fuels. That is why my husband and I purchased a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle (Ford Escape Hybrid) in 2006. It still uses gasoline, and still quite a lot more than we'd like, but it was a step in the right direction; in part, it was our way of "voting with our wallets" by supporting technology improvements toward reducing our dependence on oil (especially foreign oil.) As other technologies emerge, we look forward to supporting them as a family if we are able. Right now, we are enjoying having no car payments and two reliable vehicles... one of which is fuel efficient, and one of which is woefully anti-fuel efficiency (F-150 Supercrew 4x4, 2001 edition.) |

I think hydrogen fuel cells are the answer they have already produced one the Honda clarity although it's not on sale to the general public it runs fine an just like a normal car that you would expect today. |

Hydrogen and Electric cars are the most fuel efficient car prototypes out there now and that is the future |

Solar cells with powerful batteries to store that energy for a long time, as we will not run out of sun :) |

As a fuel I think electric cars would probably be best. But only if we can produce all of the energy needed without using fossil fuels (like wind and solar) |
