I am looking at making my current computer run a dual monitor setup, but only have 2 monitors both running VGA. One port on my computer is VGA running the current computer. There is also a HDMI port x2, DVI D port, DVI A port (The one with the + and 4 dots). How do I get just one of these to work with VGA, and what do I need to buy. Please note I am not a millionaire... so £200 HDMI converters are a little out of reach. Also I am in the UK so any product links please make UK friendly (so I can order them :D) Thanks! |

If your just wanting to convert a analogue (VGA) signal to a digital (DVI/HDMI) Then you can get a VGA to DVI fairly priced on Amazon for around £4. But you will receive no audio from this as you will only be carry a video signal and not audio though the VGA cable. |

You need one of these: http://www.smartvm.com/dvi-d-to-vga-converter-p7556.htm |

You need a VGA To DVI-D. If your monitors are VGA: http://www.amazon.co.uk/DVI-D-Adapter-Convertor-HDTV-Electronics/dp/B003K3060I. [Just best to look around the internet for the cheapest and works] |

This DVI (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monitor-female-Display-Adapter-Converter/dp/B0021YBF66/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1310687036&sr=8-4) is the exact same to the one built into the computer.
If that helps.
